Papers of Abraham Van Wyck include personal, household, and business receipts, 1796-1864; business papers of the Pine Grove Manufacturing Company (a woolen mill), including apprenticeship paper of Walter DuBois, 1815-1838; general account book, 1790-1811; memoranda book concerning the Presbyterian Society, 1808-1810; miscellaneous items including military commissions, 1808-1862; and wills, inventories, deeds, receipts, account books, and promissory notes from estates for which Van Wyck was executor, including those of Thomas Burroughs, 1815-1821, Benjamin Hutchings, 1781-1860, Elisabeth Emans, 1828-1861, and James Snouck, 1822-1828. Bound volumes in the collection include the receipt book of John and Adam Montross, 1784-1811; farm account book of Joe Van Wyck, LaGrange, N.Y., 1875-1895; assessment roll for Town of LaGrange, 1913; and the journal of Theodore Van Vechten of Fishkill, partly written while attending College Hill School in Poughkeepsie, 1844-1846.
